What Is On Your Mind Today?
Declutter Your Thoughts and Take Control of Your Mind
We can wake up with one thought and by the end of the day, we’ve had a million more racing through our heads. How often do you stop and ask yourself, What am I thinking today? Or better yet, What thought do I want to focus on today?
What if we learned how to pick just one thought, and used it to the best of our ability?
I’ll be honest… I have a lot of thoughts running through my head right now as I’m writing this (LOL!). But seriously, what’s on your mind today?
Check In With Yourself
As you’re reading this article, take a pause and ask:
What am I thinking right now?
Is it a good thought? A stressful one? A thought that inspires you, or one that’s weighing you down?
Our thoughts are powerful. They shape our mood, our relationships, and even our decisions. And yet, most of the time, they’re running on autopilot, loud, persistent, and hard to quiet. Sometimes they can even feel… annoying.
But What Does It Matter?
Think of it this way: Have you ever seen a hoarder on TV? Maybe in a documentary or reality show?
Now, remember how that clutter made you feel. It was overwhelming, chaotic, even uncomfortable to look at.
Now imagine your mind is like that.
Every single thought is another item you’re holding onto. One anxious thought here. One grudge there. A pile of self-doubt, next to a heap of overthinking. It’s mental clutter, and it builds up fast.
We all have moments like this: in the middle of a fight with a partner, stressing over an upcoming deadline, replaying a conversation that didn’t go well. It creates fog. It makes it hard to think clearly or feel present.
Give Your Inner World a Voice
When you take just a moment to stop and ask yourself,
“What is on my mind today?”
You’re doing something powerful.
You’re giving your inner world a voice. You’re giving yourself permission to be heard and seen, even by your own thoughts. We don’t allow that often enough. And the result? We overthink, shut down, or spiral into anxiety.
One of the most healing things you can do for yourself is simply listen, without judgment.
Therapist Orders: Declutter Your Mind
Learning to take a step back and pause will help you create space for new and healthier thoughts.
But it has to start somewhere.
So let it start today.
Let it start with one question:
👉 What is on my mind right now?
Take a breath. Write it down. Let it go if it’s not serving you.
Your mind deserves the same care and clarity you’d give to your home, your work, or your relationships.
It’s time to declutter.
